Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands‑on Python engineer to build automations and system integrations that eliminate manual work and improve speed and accuracy across the business.

This role is focused on practical software engineering, building scripts, services, and integrations that connect systems and support real workflows used by Customer Service, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other teams.

This is not a research or data‑science role. While you may work with AI‑enabled tools over time, the foundation of the role is strong Python development, APIs, and automation.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain Python scripts and services that automate internal workflows
  • Design and implement REST API and webhook integrations between internal systems and third‑party platforms
  • Work with business teams to identify high‑impact automation opportunities and deliver solutions quickly
  • Support integrations involving ERP, eCommerce, and operational systems
  • Build with a production mindset: logging, error handling, access control, and maintainability
  • Document what you build so others can support and extend it
  • (Nice to have) Implement AI‑assisted features using APIs as part of larger workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Python in real‑world applications (automation, integrations, services)
  • Experience working with APIs, JSON, and webhooks
  • Comfortable collaborating with non‑technical stakeholders to solve workflow problems
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a bias toward shipping practical solutions
  • Ability to work onsite in Addison, IL (or hybrid with regular onsite presence)

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

  • Experience integrating ERP, eCommerce, or marketing platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Magento, or similar)
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Automate, Logic Apps, Zapier, etc.)
  • Familiarity with calling LLM APIs (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI/Claude) within controlled applications

Why This Role

  • Your work will have immediate, visible impact across the company
  • You’ll build real tools used by real teams, not prototypes that sit on a shelf
  • Opportunity to grow responsibility as the automation and AI footprint expands
  • Stable, mid‑market environment focused on execution over hype
